The international gambling company Unibet should immediately stop offering sports betting to the Dutch. That is what the High Court ruled Wednesday in Utrecht determined in a court brief that the Dutch Lotto had issued against Unibet.
In the Netherlands, the Lotto is the only organisation with a licence for the launch of sports betting. Unibet recruits Dutch gamblers by letting Dutch football analysts like Hugo Borst predict the outcome of football matches.
In October, the Lotto already got what they wanted in default of equal justice. High penalties where imposed on Unibet by Dutch Judges. Unibet protested against that verdict but the judges said that the Lotto was right.
