As previously reported Unibet was ordered by a Dutch court to stop offering sports betting to Dutch clients. The fine of €100,000 per day to a maximum of 3 million euros, has currently been ignored by Unibet which will not accept this ruling by the court and they simply continue to offer sports betting to Dutch clients.
The company is located outside the Netherlands and hopes for support from the European commission. The policy of the Dutch government is in question and the question is how long they can maintain their current monopoly policy, under pressure from Europe.
The lawyers of the Lotto are looking for ways to collect the fine.
