Miguel Archanco, former president of the Spanish club Osasuna, was arrested last week in connection with a judicial inquiry into possible match fixing.

Archanco was in Pamplona, the home of CA Osasuna, where he was placed in handcuffs together with former directors Txuma Peralta and Angel Vizcay.

According to media reports, Vizcay has now admitted that he tried to bribe Real Betis and Espanyol last season. He wanted to avoid Osasuna's relegation from the Primera Division, but to no avail. Osasuna's run in the Segunda Division has not gone well with the team currently lying in sixteenth place.
