Online bookmaker BetClic has enlisted the services of none other than Ruud Gullit as a new ambassador. It will feel like a homecoming for Gullit as his colleagues include a number of former teammates and managers from his football career. As of March 1, Gullit will fufill his new role as the new ambassador at BetClic.
Gullit is quoted as saying, "I have joined a great team and thus it is inspiring to return to work with friends such as Marcel Desailly, Arrigo Sacchi and Dan Petrescu, who are also ambassadors at BetClic."
"It's always nice to predict the result of a football game which is accompanied by great enthusiasm, if people bet on a match and win. I will be giving weekly tips on my Facebook page. I look forward to the exciting unraveling of the European football season."
Ruud Gullit joins BetClic as a new ambassador, with famous football players working in other Betclic markets such as Marcel Desailly in France, Arrigo Sacchi in Italy and Dan Petrescu in Romania. "Sacchi was my coach at Milan when we won the Champions League twice. I later played at Chelsea together with Petrescu and Desailly so I feel at home with my new team," Gullit said, who played 66 times for the Dutch national team and scored 16 times.
BetClic was founded in 2005 and has become one of Europe's leading online gaming brands, making it the flagship of the BetClic Everest Group. Ruud Gullit begins his new role on March 1, 2011, the same day that Manchester United plays Chelsea in the Premier League. "I obviously hope that Chelsea will win," said Gullit, who retains his blue heart that he still carries after three years at the London club.
